- Releasing in September
- Like the Legendary Beasts, it can be optimized through repeated recruiting
- Its skill is "Psystrike" (Berry-category skill). It boosts Snorlax's energy and also boosts Mago Berry energy ⤴️. The effect persists even after moving to a different field. Its stacks can be built up all the way to the cap.
- Mewtwo's stats
- Whether there's a synergy effect with Mew
- Whether Mr. Mime or Ditto can copy its skill
- Whether skill charges banked on Sunday can carry over into Monday
Currently the best Berry-type among Psychic-types.
Weaker stats than Xatu, but worth running since it strengthens Cresselia's effect!
"Lunar Blessing" is very strong, combining recovery with a Berry Burst. Running more Psychic-types boosts the Berry Burst effect further.
Also gathers plenty of berries on its own. If it has the Berry Burst main skill, you can get maximum value out of the buff.
Drawing on my experience mainly running Cresselia, here's my thinking on strong team compositions. Depending on how Mewtwo's actual stats turn out, it's possible that keeping Mewtwo on the team permanently ends up being the strongest approach — I'll keep investigating after release.
A team built to get maximum value from Cresselia's "Lunar Blessing." During stretches where energy overflows, swapping Gardevoir out for Espeon works best.

A team built around Mew having the Berry Burst main skill. Mew doesn't need you to stack extra Psychic-types, so this gives you a lot of flexibility. Running Mew alongside Mewtwo at the same time could be the strongest setup of all.

Since you want to bank Mewtwo's skill charges as fast as possible, having Togedemaru around helps a lot. Also, running a Cresselia-based team tends to skew your ingredients, so this downtime is a good window to gather whatever you're short on. For example, if you're making Apple Yogurt Salad with a Cresselia-based team, you could run Togedemaru to help trigger Psystrike, Mr. Mime (whether its Skill Copy works here is still unconfirmed), and trigger Cooking Power Up while gathering the Moomoo Milk you're short on.

This depends on how you plan to use it.
Build toward triggering the skill as fast as possible (Skill Trigger, Helping Speed sub-skills).
On top of the above, you'll also want to optimize for Berry Finder S and Helping Bonus.
Mewtwo's headline feature is, without question, its Mago Berry energy boost that carries across field changes. No previous Berry-category skill has had this kind of persistence, and depending on how well it pairs with Cresselia's "Lunar Blessing," it could push a Psychic-type team's berry-gathering efficiency up another notch.
What's still impossible to judge is its stats and the skill-copy/synergy details. Whether Mr. Mime can copy it in particular is a big deal, since it would significantly change how flexible team-building can be. What fate awaits Mr. Mime, the Pokémon that could end up at the center of it all?

Right after release, optimization and leveling probably won't have caught up enough to show its full potential — but the team compositions covered here are a solid starting point to try out over a weekend-to-Monday cycle. I'll update this article as soon as real stats and synergy details are confirmed after release.
